she is soft like velvet and raw like thunder
she is the body who keeps life
she is the body who bl—ds and does not d-e

to violate her name is a gruesome crime of nature
to violate her body is a crime of soul

her pl3-s-r3 is a galaxy
a poem of ocean waves and red ochre
her sound is the pulse of the Goddess
her love turns to nectar in her breasts

she stands ALONE in her power
she stands with THOUSANDS who came before

all I speak and all I know is what has been true for millennia
the snake will shed her skin
the womb will shed her 🩸
the moon will shed her light
and woman will exist at the center of it all

our world will not survive on metal tables
our fertile bodies and nourished hearts are not made from hands of man but the body of woman

our souls are stitched in her womb
stardust made to bone and 🩸 emerge from the wholeness of her body

a woman’s body is born whole
women are a complete entity all of our own
we are not defined by men
we are not made from the body or mind of man

we are whole
we are woman
we are built in woman
we are birthed from woman

this is where you come from
this is the creatrix of all there is
this is the true home and true God
this is the BODY OF WOMAN

and I resonate deeply with her story

so many times in my life, I have been seen as innocent or naive when I knew there was a dark well of creativity & eros within me

people have told me I was manipulated when I was making a choice to explore the darkness

and it was there I found my power, my autonomy, and my ability to rise

Persephone will hold the torch as she guides your through your own proverbial Underworld

and she will rise with you when you are ready to return to the world of the living

so if you’re a woman who will eat the pomegranate seeds and smile

if you desire to be rewoven into the spiritual lineage of the Goddess

do you ever wonder what Inanna, the primordial Goddesses of love & s-x & war, would say about feminine embodiment people telling women not to have s-x with a man unless he’s her king?

when it was HER Priestesses who created the first kings!?

what would Aphrodite say if she knew purity culture had infiltrated feminine spirituality?

it’s like taking the title of Queen away from Persephone, it’s like forcing Lilith back into the garden

the truth is that s-x-ality has ALWAYS been part of the feminine spiritual path

whether that was through the Priestesses who served Inanna, Ishtar, or Aphrodite or through the love stories of the Goddesses

female s-x-ality was the source of spiritual power and initiation

and these women maintained sovereignty over their bodies

the word virgin meant “a woman unto herself” NOT a woman who had never slept with a man

the Goddess’s (and by extension the Priestess’s) er-t-c energy was sacred

the woman’s body was the Sanctuary, the holy of holies

Eros is the creative pulse that the entire universe is based upon

the Vedas called this Shakti — the Divine Feminine creative principle

without eros, we would not exist

so OF COURSE the women who embodied the er-t-c pulse of the universe were the holy of holies

female s-x-ality has long been linked to empowerment and spiritual initiation

the Goddess Inanna-Ishtar was wondering “who will plow my v-lv-“ thousands of years before abrahamic religions (yes those are the real words)

her journey into spiritual power and womanhood began with the exploration and acknowledgement of her female body and s-x-ality

her Priestesses were performing sacred s-x-al rites at the dawn of civilization and this is documented in the first known piece of literature, The Epic of Gilgamesh

the archetype and role of the S-x Priestess is very near and dear to my heart

she is an example of a role women could have in the ancient world that was beyond wife or mother

she is an example of real power that women held thousands of years ago

and I feel that my own journey through s-x and relationships has initiated me into this role, through my own healing and exploration, and through the ways I have guided certain lovers into the cosmic threshold of feminine eros

this path has been filled with pleasure, creativity, and inspiration but it has not been without it’s challenges and insane heartbreak

I have long been fascinated by the Priestess, especially the Priestesses who used their s-x-al power to alchemize, heal, connect to the Goddess, and initiate themselves into the mysteries

this archetype lives in me, has ALWAYS lived in me

and it’s played out in my life again and again

it’s beautiful and I love it, it’s been my greatest gift and greatest challenge

last night a sister reminded me that when the Priestesses were performing these rites they were anchored in their spiritual practices first and foremost

they took time to return to themselves, to their rituals, their Goddess

and this is how they kept their bodies healthy physically and energetically

just as the light will always return after the solstice, the sovereignty will always return to our bodies

the Priestess will return to the temple

her body as sanctuary will be anointed by the Goddess

and the everlasting flame will be lit once more

the oldest mention of a mermaid is the Syrian Goddess Atargatis who was turned into a mermaid after she threw herself into a lake, heartbroken over the loss of her beloved

here a mermaid, a Goddess of the Sea, is created after an initiation of love and loss

I believe that this is part of the feminine path, part of the path of the Goddess of Love

going through our own initiations of love, pain, joy, anger, and any other deep emotion is what gives us the wisdom to hold space for others

Odysseus has to tie himself, Christ-like, to the mast of his ship to resist them

this is the first mention of the Sirens in literature — half woman half bird creatures who live on a rocky island in the sea

their “honeyed-song” is impossible to resist

they originally did not tempt men with s-x-ality, but with knowledge, like the serpent (Lilith) in the Garden of Eden

overtime Sirens became intertwined with other wild feminine creatures of sea and song

sometimes they appeared with wings, sometimes with serpent or fishtails

images of these Siren/Mermaids appear on countless churches throughout Europe supposedly as a warning to church goers… but perhaps as reminiscent icons of an ancient religion of feminine mysticism

in the first and second millennium leaders of the church began preaching sermons that linked Sirens to sinful pl-as-re and pr-stit-tion

one Bishop compared all women to Sirens stating that the s-x-al temptation of a woman’s body would lead men away from salvation

going through my Saturn return like… ✨🩷🪐

Saturn is often explained as a masculine planet, and I get that

but Saturn’s cycle is 28-29 years, just like the moon and womb cycle for 28-29 days

think about it… a Saturn return is like the menstrual phase of the solar system

Saturn also kind of looks similar to the cervix with her concentric circles

seems pretty feminine to me lol

this poem came to me after a cervical awakening & o*g*sm practice

mermaids and sirens have always been dark

their stories are laced with destruction

we hear of sirens who have the capability to lure the strongest warriors to their demise

they are used as an archetype of female temptation

the siren will make a man change his course

she uses pleasure and persuasion to make him enter the sea (the realm of emotions and the unconscious) where he will have no choice but to die in the hopes of being reborn

most do everything in their power to resist her

sometimes I feel like many people forget the true blood and grit of the Feminine

when someone says you must be celibate to be more spiritual or you must be celibate to in order to keep your womb clear — this is purity culture working its way into new age spirituality

yes, there can be value in taking time dedicated to your body, your womb, your pleasure — I have done this!

in the days since the election I’ve witnessed many women experiencing profound fear about what’s to come

Perhaps the most important part of female anatomy is a woman’s cervix

Part uterine, part vaginal. She rests at the top of the yoni canal and the root of the womb

The cervix is shaped like a small pink donut and mirrors the black hole

She is quite literally the portal between the internal and external, the place through which humanity is born

She is the keeper of the mysteries of life and death

The cervix is the most innervated organ in the body

She is the root of the female nervous system

She is made for full body relaxation and cosmic pleasure

During Samhain, the veils are thinnest between our realm and the spirit realm.

But during Beltane, the veils are thinnest between our realm and the fairy realm. So if you see something dancing in the firelight, it might just be a fae gracing you with her presence.

According to Shakti Woman by Vicki Nobel, Beltane was also the day the most witches (mostly women) were burned. This was a direct response to the date’s association with the s-x-al power of women.

In addition to the power of destruction, we know that the power of the Feminine Flame, of Kundalini, is also transformation and rebirth.

We are the women who have risen from the ashes to remember the sacred ways of the Goddess, the earth, and the body of woman.

Our most ancient ancestors understood the source of all magick, all divine energy was a woman’s body.

They worshipped the female form.

They worshipped a Divine Mother.

Women were the first spiritual leaders, the original shamans.

Their bones were painted with red ochre upon burial to symbolize their spiritual power as connected to the womb, to menstruation.

Women gathered to make prophesies to lead their communities and, for centuries, wise women were the leaders of the tribes.

This has been documented through ancient artifacts, tombs, and art.

We don’t know how exactly it was stripped away, but archeology and myth indicate that the patriarchy came from the north on horseback, slowly taking over the communities by force.

This expounded through institutionalized religion and education.

The first books distributed widely due to the printing press were the King James Bible (King James was famous for accusing women of witchcraft) and the Malleus Maleficarum (a witch hunters guide).

Perhaps one of the most horrid things the Malleus does, is state that women are more prone to witchcraft bc of the things we are already experience in our bodies (menstruation, birth, etc) and also due to our erotic energy.

One woman was even accused of witchcraft after her husband found her clitoris, which he called “the devil’s teat.”

So I think it is no wonder we have become so disconnected from our female bodies.

Why have fear or even disgust around the natural functions of our wombs and yonis.

Generations of women have been subject to immense pain and sometimes execution because of their female bodies.

This still goes on in some places in the world today.

Our fear is engrained in the collective female psyche…

But even deeper in our bones, our psyches, our souls lies a more ancient and primordial truth:

That our female bodies are not a source of evil, but a source of power
of life
of love

That we are the portals between realms, the birthers of universes, the mothers of all.

We are magick.

We are divine.

And it’s my belief, that when we remember this we will finally come home to our bodies and to our inherent feminine power.

This is how we birth a new world.

Our most ancient ancestors understood the source of all magick, all divine energy was a woman’s body.

They worshipped the female form.

They worshipped a Divine Mother.

Women were the first spiritual leaders, the original shamans.

Their bones were painted with red ochre upon burial to symbolize their spiritual power as connected to the womb, to menstruation.

Women gathered to make prophesies to lead their communities and, for centuries, wise women were the leaders of the tribes.

This has been documented through ancient artifacts, tombs, and art.

We don’t know how exactly it was stripped away, but archeology and myth indicate that the patriarchy came from the north on horseback, slowly taking over the communities by force.

This expounded through institutionalized religion and education.

The first books distributed widely due to the printing press were the King James Bible (King James was famous for accusing women of witchcraft) and the Malleus Maleficarum (a witch hunters guide).

Perhaps one of the most horrid things the Malleus does, is state that women are more prone to witchcraft bc of the things we are already experience in our bodies (menstruation, birth, etc) and also due to our erotic energy.

One woman was even accused of witchcraft after her husband found her clitoris, which he called “the devil’s teat.”

So I think it is no wonder we have become so disconnected from our female bodies.

Why have fear or even disgust around the natural functions of our wombs and yonis.

Generations of women have been subject to immense pain and sometimes execution because of their female bodies.

This still goes on in some places in the world today.

Our fear is engrained in the collective female psyche…

But even deeper in our bones, our psyches, our souls lies a more ancient and primordial truth:

That our female bodies are not a source of evil, but a source of power
of life
of love

That we are the portals between realms, the birthers of universes, the mothers of all.

We are magick.

We are divine.

And it’s my belief, that when we remember this we will finally come home to our bodies and to our inherent feminine power.

You have forgotten where you came from.

You have forgotten your first moments in the world, forgotten the roar of your mother as she gave you your life

You have forgotten where you came from.

You have forgotten the nights you couldn’t sleep and she held you close to her skin, feeding you with the nectar that HER body created

You have forgotten that the only reason for your existence on this Earth is because of your Mother. The woman who grew you and birthed you and fed you and kept you alive when you had no concept of anything except for the distance between you and her.

How dare you describe her as passive? How dare you compare a woman’s body to anything but God Herself?

You have forgotten that a woman’s vagina is the temple, you have forgotten that a woman’s body is whole in her own right, that she is born whole, that women are a complete entity all of our own

You have forgotten that you are not king without Goddess, forgotten that women are not defined against men, that women are not an idea in a man’s head, a market to be sold to, a role to try on and take off when it doesn’t serve you

We are whole.

We are women.

We are built in women.

We are birthed from women.

This is where you came from.

Women.

I spent the evening dancing, moving my body to music I’d never heard.

It was a strange experiment — moving the energy in my body in front of strangers, in front of someone I’d just met.

It was a practice in being safe in my own energy. And I did.

I felt alive in my own energy.

Turned on in my own energy.

Vibrant in my own energy.

The world was in that space between the realms, the day before Beltane, my birthday.

In fact, the Beltane fires were lit at 7pm on April 30 (my birthday) and people celebrated all night and all the next day.

It is said that the most witches were burned on Beltane, as this cross-quarter festival was THE celebration of female s-x—lity and feminine magick.

But I was born again from the fires of their betrayal to bring this magick back to the world.

On this eve of Beltane, I got into bed after midnight. It was the Dark Moon and the sky was strewn with stars.

I remember looking out my bedroom window and seeing the blanket of black sky through the trees.

And then I began to connect with my body.
Move my body.
Touch my body.

My yoni invited in my rose quartz wand but this time it felt different…

Not only was I experiencing awakening and pleasure in my physical body, but my yoni began energetically connecting with the properties of the crystal.

It was like I went inside the rose quartz herself.

She began to take me on a journey.

Inside of her I witnessed the cosmic energy she holds.

She showed me all the places she’d been before ending up inside of me.

We took a journey through the stars.

I watched the asteroids and comets collide to form new crystals and elements.

Stars exploded to give her sparkle.

Her rose color formed from fire and dirt.

Her elements were birthed from the center, Source.

I saw the universe as a vast entity, sparkling darkness, never ending movement, dizzying spirals.

She showed me how she traveled from space to the earth in a cosmic blast.

How she formed in the roots of the earth.

How she holds the wisdom of the stars in the shifts of her pink hue.

How she connects with the stardust and the cosmos within me.

I traveled through the universe and back into my womb, my yoni, my body.

Hearing things like “the feminine is passive” or “I’m in my feminine so I’m doing xyz” make my skin crawl. Actually no. It SETS FIRE to my bones.

It enrages me and breaks my heart at the same time. How can anyone think that the Feminine can be boxed into certain qualities, ways of being, or ways of appearing? How can anyone think that She who forms and births worlds is passive???

When I speak of Goddess, of the Feminine, I do not speak of qualities or aesthetics of man.

When I speak, write, cry, sing, DANCE of Goddess it’s like I am trying to tell you of the starlight that exists in your bl%d.

SHE who exists so deep within you
SHE who can only be felt
SHE who has 10,000 names
SHE who I cannot explain in mere words
SHE who you will KNOW when you meet

I’ve met her in the center of my womb, in my c3rvx, in the water that oozes from rocks. Goddess. Her. THE Feminine. ~part 1~

She is a force, a power, something to be reckoned with.

Over the holidays I was reading a channeled account of Mary Magdalene’s story. It was profound. What she shared of her soul’s yearning for home, of finally feeling at home when she joined the priestess temple of Isis-Auset, of desiring a beloved with whom she could transverse the realms, and her experience with other women & priestesses were all basically word-for-word my own deepest feelings.

Magdalena visits another temple with her Priestess sister & mentor to watch a performance of a woman dancing as the Goddess Isis. The dancer spins around on stage in beautiful adornments and feathered wings. At first, MM is mesmerized. The dancer appeared just like the Goddess Herself! Until she speaks with her sister and realizes that it was only a performance.

Her Priestess sister shares, “You did not see Isis, you saw someone pretending to be Isis. One who acts as if they are Isis is not the Goddess incarnate. It is a play upon a stage that is ultimately empty.”

Reading that gives me chills each time. What was true then is true now as well. Many people are fooled by mesmerizing performances of the Feminine.

Feeling things deeply is a gift

Once upon a time I had internalized the idea that it was uncool to feel things deeply

I was the chill girl

I just didn’t care

But really — I did care lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

I cared so deeply and I was forcing myself to be numb to my own emotions

When you’re numb to your emotions, you can also become numb to pleasure and the subtle cues of your body

A big part of my journey of awakening the wisdom in my womb & the pleasure in my yoni has been re-learning that it’s beautiful to feel things deeply

Learning how to hold myself with love as I FEEL

And understanding that feeling emotions deeply means your body’s capacity to feel pleasure expands

It means you will become more aware of the subtle cues of your womb, you’ll notice when you begin to shift from one phase to the next, you’ll feel the alignment of your bones and be able to tell when something is off

You will be able to tune into the deep, ancient wisdom of your womb 🩸

The last time Venus was in retrograde was the last time I made a big decision that did not align with my womb’s wisdom.

Going into this decision I knew her view, but I let my mind, fear, and external influences override my body’s inner knowing.

My womb held me through the choice I made, assured me that I would never make it again, and used her alchemical power to release the unwanted energy from my body.

As Venus dips below the horizon, as Inanna descends into the Underworld, we’re initiated into a new layer of ancient feminine knowing.

When Inanna journeyed to the Underworld she had to pass through the 7 Gates of Hell before meeting her Dark Queen counterpart. At each gate, she shed a layer of her Earthly self to stand naked before Ereshkigal, Queen of the Underworld.

As we journey through this Venusian darkness, we may be met with challenges or new opportunities to lean into the ancient feminine wisdom of our bodies. As these initiations occur let yourself travel through your own gates — the 7 Womb Gates before you make a decision. Did you know that the stem cells in our wombs begin to replenish after we’ve been bleeding for three days? (even if our periods last for longer)

So each month, we ARE reborn after the third day

Women who bleed walk the path of resurrection

For three days Jesus lay in his tomb, for three days Inanna journeyed through hell, for three days women exist in the proverbial underworld of menstruation

And then we are reborn, just as the Earth is reborn in the Spring

Womb Healing and Womb Awakening — What’s the difference?

Is there even a difference? Even after I made this — I’m not 100% sure.

I see and use these words often and felt that it was important for me to define them in the way that I use them. My intention was to find clarity both for myself and for you, but each time I read over these lists I realized that each item could fit on either side.

The only thing that became clear to me was that healing and awakening are a spiral of ancient wisdom, practices, and homecoming that’s defined only by the woman who is experiencing it for herself.

I still decided to share, because I do feel like when I use the phrase “womb healing” I am describing the things in that respective column (same with “womb awakening”) but…

I have witnessed and experienced both happening simultaneously — a true womb spiral of healing and spiritual wisdom.

I’ve been telling myself this story that I’m not qualified enough to speak about the throat & Yoni connection.

That my throat is my biggest weak spot. (It’s my only undefined center in human design)

That since my words still get jumbled it means I haven’t fully integrated the healing of my throat chakra.

Sometimes these beliefs are even reflected back to me—people telling me that I don’t speak what’s in my heart, that my young sounding voice will make people not want to work with me, that my voice is too high pitched, too quiet, too this and not enough that.

And each time someone says those things — I stop talking. I stop speaking from my intuition. I stop even trying to share what is on my heart.

Yesterday I had an epiphany — that I don’t have to believe what these people say. I am the one who knows my own voice. I am the one who knows what’s on my heart and whether or not I’m expressing it.

My voice has been described as soothing, sweet, and kind. That it makes people feel held in a container of non-judgement. I choose to listen to this.

I choose to write the story of my voice:

The connection between my throat and yoni is STRONG.

My truth flows from me like nectar.

My voice is uniquely my own and the right people will always gravitate towards it.

My voice deserves to be respected and heard as it is.

This is true for you as well! Any perceived weakness doesn’t have to be a weakness. You don’t have to believe the limiting things people say to you.

You get to write your own story.

You get to let your TRUTH flow from you like nectar.

How can you write your own story based on what you know in your heart to be true? How can you write your own story from an embodied womb & yoni centered place? How can you write your own story to empower yourself?

Why are these Goddesses of love also the Goddesses of war?

Is it because they knew to truly love is to be a warrior? That you have to be brave to love? That choosing love in your heart, over everything else, is perhaps the bravest thing you can do? That to love something is to fight for it?

Is it because they revered the female form? Women who bleed without death. Warriors incarnate. When Aphrodite took her first steps on land roses bloomed on Earth like drops of blood on the ground. Inanna journeyed through the Seven Gates of the (Womb) Underworld to become Queen of Heaven.

These are Goddesses of woman’s body.

Perhaps they’re Goddesses of War because they are protectors of women, of the female body. Because they knew that we would need warriors on our side in this fight against patriarchal oppression of the female body.

Perhaps to incarnate as a woman is to incarnate as a warrior, as a rebel, as a Goddess.

We have their prayers in our bodies.

Our bodies are the prayer and the answers to our prayers.

We move through the world as the embodiments of love, er0ticism, power, and the divine.

The Luteal Phase has a knack for bringing sh*t up

It can be annoying (trust me, I know) especially when it feels negative or “low vibe”

But that’s her job.

What comes up in your Luteal Phase is for a reason

—It might be a lesson you need to integrate

—Something to release with your bleed

—A realization or emotion that allows your mind to expand so you have a deeper understanding of the world

—Something that’s been secretly bothering you over the course of the month

Even if what you’re feeling seems clouded by anger, anxiety, or sadness, there is always a TRUTH at the ROOT of your emotions.

For example— one month I got SUPER annoyed that a guy I went out with didn’t pay for my dinner. I started analyzing how rude I thought the behavior was. I said things like, “The least they could do is feed me if they’re trying to enter my body,” and “I’m risking 18 years of my life every time I have s-x and they don’t even want to buy me dinner?”

The ROOT of these thoughts/emotions was that I longed to feel taken care of and safe in my relationships.

So I spent more time taking care of myself, developing safety in my own body, and always made sure I had something to eat!

And after a while, I started dating a man who cooked and took me out for delicious meals.

The next time something comes up in your Luteal Phase: get curious, ask yourself questions, and find the root cause of why this thing is bothering you.

Connecting to your womb is for all the women who were told their bodies were something sinful, for all the women who are still told this lie

Because your body is wise and wild and holy and pure and dirty and strong and complete
The power of your body is the power of your soul
The power of the womb, the yoni, the blood is the power of women
The power to change the world

Connecting to your body in this way gets down to the very root of who you are
The basis of your very existence on this Earth is your body
Without your body you wouldn’t be able to experience the intense pleasures and pains of being alive

As women, the womb is the center of our body
Between our feet and our head, between our right and left side, between the front and the back of us

So your womb is the center of the foundation of your existence

I’m reading a book about Hecate. It’s well researched with beautiful rituals and lots of witchy wisdom.

But there’s something missing

There is a huge gap when it comes to anything about the female body, womb wisdom, menstrual magick, and the er0tic feminine.

I’ve always understood Goddesses as deeply related to feminine embodiment and feeling empowered in our female bodies. Reading this book made it obvious to me that this is the realm of Hecate as well, even though the author fails to state it explicitly.

If I could guess — the author did this to show Hecate as an inclusive Goddess, which she is, but FIRST she’s a Keeper of Women’s Magick.

It’s also important to recognize how the patriarchy has distorted stories of the Divine Feminine and to remember that when the patriarchy began to take hold, one of the first things men did was enter the women’s Goddess temples.

When I tune in to Hecate I hear the message: Bring the women back to my temple.

My version of womb wisdom and wild feminine embodiment will ALWAYS be women focused, women first.

It is time we, as women, come home to ourselves, our bodies, and all the magick they hold.

Whatever it may be…
Do one thing each day that truly allows you to draw your power back to yourself.
